NipTuck Holidays is proud to partner with Custom Assurance Placements Ltd., which administers the Global Protective Solutions (GPS) program and has been protecting international medical and dental travellers and their travel companions since 2008.


As the worldwide leader, GPS is providing risk mitigation solutions and protection benefits specifically for international medical travellers.


International medical travel requires a unique and specialised protection, which standard travel insurance policies usually exclude or do not address.


Participation is available worldwide, with the primary area of benefit covering two broad areas below: 

  • Procedure/treatment and 
  • Travel.

  • Medical complication benefits are in place for 6 months (180 days) after the elective procedure. A complication must occur and be diagnosed within this time frame.
  • Additional medical or surgical treatment for a covered complication must occur within 270 days.
  • Medical complications can be treated in your home country or in the country where the procedure was originally performed.

  • All medical travel and medical procedures in general- including cosmetic and dental- carry a certain amount of risk, known and unknown. Complications and accidents can and do occur.  Your enrollment in a Global Protective Solutions program helps reduce the significant financial risks and burdens that may arise from elective treatment or travel-related activities.
  • Other programs, such as  “flyback cover” or “surgical warranty/guarantee”, provide limited protection only while you are in the visited country. They all require that you return at your expense to the foreign country to take advantage of any benefits in the event of a medical complication (you may not be medically fit to travel).
  • It is important to realise that these plans will not provide you with assistance at home or respond in an urgent or emergency situation.
  • Ease your mind knowing you can receive outstanding medical care at reasonable prices and enjoy the added protection of specialised coverage offered by the Global Protective Solutions program.

Insurance and Post-Surgery Recovery Rules

Insurance Summary

Nip Tuck Holidays partners with Medical Travel Shield Australia to offer specialised medical travel insurance designed for patients travelling abroad for procedures such as Cosmetic Surgery, Dental Treatment, Elective Surgery, or IVF/Fertility Treatment. 


This insurance includes expected travel benefits such as Medical and Additional Expenses, Cancellation and Curtailment, Loss of Property/Passport, and more.


Post-Surgery and Recovery Rules

These rules and recommendations are in place to ensure a smooth and safe recovery:

  • Mandatory Stay: The recommended stay in Phuket (14 days) after surgery is mandatory. Failure to stay the required number of days means the surgeon and the hospital (PPSI) will not take responsibility for your recovery.
  • Smoking: Clients should cease smoking 4 weeks prior to and 4 weeks after their surgery.
  • Alcohol: Clients should not drink alcohol 1 week prior to their surgery and for the complete post-operative period until they have ceased their course of antibiotics, or as advised by their surgeon.
  • Activity: Clients should refrain from strenuous activities such as speedboat tours, elephant trekking, parasailing, and similar activities during the initial recovery period.
  • Postop Promise: Dissatisfaction must be reported to PPSI within 12 months of the surgery date. Details are available on their website: PPSI Postop Promise and Condition
